"Love. Then, do what you please." - St. Augustine

(via ache.tumblr.com)

I caught these two people once on the metro in Paris
they weren't really hiding their affection so
I guess I didn't really catch them
they were obvious

which is how we should be with our love
we should litter it on people
like the Boiler room, littering beauty all over the Westside this weekend

I talk about these two lovers in Paris a lot when I think of intimacy
because the entire metro was jam-packed with bodies
in and out of the doors
but these two just kept up with each other
like no one else was there

I'm learning slowly how to love God like this
reading [Guyon] about seeking after Him, not outside of my body
but
inside of me

to be with him
near him
close enough to whisper
and he'd hear
Sometimes you just have to glance at someone you love
and they know immediately what you are thinking

(Jana knows something about this with me, except with her all she has to do is stomp on my foot or elbow me.)

Aaron Weisser said that sometimes He can tell when God is giving him "the look"
I think I am learning that as well.
the good and bad looks
but both are warm and Fatherly.

"Your main concern lies in dwelling continually upon the God who is within you... remain steadily in giving your utmost attention to God. HE will do all things perfectly.... everyone is capable of turning within and abandoning himself wholly to God..."

Like a lover, fully abandoning herself/himself to another
to healthily receive and give love
you just let go of yourself and stop thinking about anything
but love for the other
I release my heart to God and refuse to think of anything else
and ask God to take my love

St Augustine said, "love, then do what you please." For when you have learned to love, you will not even desire to do those things that might Offend the One you love."

[quotes by Jeanne Guyon, from Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ]
